Faisal Quader
I am Faisal Quader. I work for GE/GXS (Former division of General Electric Company). I have been with GE for about 9 years working as a Senior Technical Project Manager managing a global Engineering team from both U.S. and India. Before joining GE, I worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation. I have been involved with AABEA for several years. I graduated in Computer Science with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. I did my masters in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. I am working on my PhD in Software Engineering from George Mason University. I am an active member of both IEEE and ACM. I love music and all kinds of sports.
Nasreen Chowdhury
Ms. Nasreen Chowdhury is a professional in the satellite industry with diverse experience in Engineering & Program management. She is a frequent presenter in technical & professional Working Groups & Forums across the globe. She has a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, Washington DC, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Ms. Chowdhury served as a Divisional Engineer in Bangladesh Telegraph & Telephone Board prior to her nomination to INTELSAT; a Washington DC based Inter-Governmental Organization with 142 member countries; as the first & only government representative of Bangladesh. Presently she is working with the Federal Government as a technical lead & subject matter expert in GPS supported airspace navigation. Ms. Chowdhury is an Alumni of BUET and member of IEEE, IEAust.
She is an active promoter of middle school students to pursue careers in science & technology through the auspices of American Association of University Women (AAWU). Ms. Chowdhury has a passion for interior decoration, landscape, light-scape and traveling.
Ajhar Nakib
My name is Ajhar Nakib. I was born in Bagerhat, Bangladesh. I completed my secondary and higher secondary school from Bagerhat. I graduated from BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology) with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I received my Master in Building Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. I served in various engineering position in the government and private sectors in Qatar for nine years. During this time I served in the executive committee of IEB (Institute of Engineers Bangladesh) Qatar chapter. Currently I am working as a Project Controls Supervisor with BECHTEL, one of the World biggest Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) Company, working AROUND THE CLOCK AROUND THE WORLD.
I'm blessed with a wonderful wife and three children. We have been living in Vienna, Virginia for @ 8 years.
Raja Ahmed
I received my Bachelor's in Computer Science from the Land of the Cold in Saskatchewan, Canada and subsequently worked in several sectors including defense engineering, telecom, nuclear reactors safety systems, avionics, air traffic control system, process engineering and tool automation.
I'm currently a member of the executive committee of several non-profit organizations including ORCA (Old Rajshahi Cadets Association http://www.orcausa.org/ ), Help International (http://www.help-international.com/ ) and SERVE (http://www.servebd.org/ ) with primary focus of improving the condition of the destitute in Bangladesh and Africa. I'm excited to be given an opportunity to participate and further AABEA's core missions.
I'm blessed with a wonderful wife and three children including a set of twins. We have been living in Darnestown, Maryland for the last five years.
Nancy Hoque
Hello, I am Nancy Hoque. I currently work at Motorola as a Senior Systems Engineer in the U.S. Federal Government Markets Division. I work on designing their communication systems, including WiMax. Before this I worked 2 years at Nokia on DSP software for CDMA phones, and for a short time in project management for Long Range RADAR on a FAA contract. I have my Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of California San Diego and my Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. I'm involved with Drishtipat DC and have participated in Toastmasters. As recreation I draw and try to take every opportunity to travel.
Misu Tasnim
Hi, I'm Misu Tasnim. I have been working for a year and a half with CSC as a Flight Software Sustaining Engineer for NASA's Flight Software Division. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, also at Johns Hopkins University. In addition to AABEA, I am actively involved with the Society of Women Engineers. I enjoy volunteering and hanging out with friends. I can't wait to get started with upcoming AABEA projects!
